How to add photos with

Your photos on Coleusfinder in a few easy steps. If you follow the steps described here, your photos will be added to the index on coleusfinder automatically. It can take a few days before they are added to the index (they need to be checked and approved).

Steps:

1. Go to www.flickr.com and create an account. It is free.
2. Your account has the status 'Pending' at first. This needs to be changed. To make that happening, upload at least 6 photos to your account. Your account will now automatically be reviewed by Flickr. As soon as it is approved, which can take a few days, your photos become available for public search on and are ready to be indexed.
3. Photos will be indexed automatically at Coleusfinder if they meet a few criteria. To make sure your photos become indexed, you should follow the guidelines. That is all!

Guidelines

• Choose Public as privacy setting for your photos.
• Use good quality photos showing only one coleus cultivar.
• Add a tag coleus.
• Add a tag with the cultivar name. Use double quotes if the name contains spaces: "Tilt a Whirl". Try to use the right name and specify only one cultivar name.
• Use as title: 'coleus' or 'solenostemon' + the cultivarname in quotes. Example title: Coleus 'Tilt a Whirl'

  Note: photos without the term 'coleus' or 'solenostemon' and the cultivarname in either title or tags are never indexed!

• You can add your photos to the group 'Coleus', but this is not necessary.

Licencing

In you can choose a licence setting for your photos. Carefully concider which setting you choose. If you upload photos with the intention to make money with them, the default (no licence - all right reserved) might be the best option. You should also consider then if you want them to be public at all. In most other cases choosing one of the Creative Commons settings is probably the best option.

Free account or Pro account?

With a free account you can upload photos to a maximum of 20Mb each month. Only the last 200 photos in your account are visible. If you need more, you can consider to change your account to a Pro account.
